christmas & boxing

Christmas Day was GREAT. There were only five of us round the table this year (Grandma Susan got kidnapped) but the house still seemed buzzing. After opening presents Nikki wanted us to all go t'pub...so naturally we did, and t'pub was giving out free drinks! We'll be going there again... Later on in the evening after food/visitors/pudding/christmas top gear bond cars special Mairi got fed up of us all and made us all go to bed. She's going to make a fine Managing Director one day.

Boxing day we did what normal families do and went on an excessively long walk..only to end up in Tesco where the boy of Mairi's dreams was on shift and she wasn't wearing any makeup, so she died. Happy New Year everyone and hope you're all well!!!

ps. I've been playing with an open-source version of Photoshop, I think it does all the same things but is extremely hard to use for a beginner!

merry christmas!

Merry Christmas for tomorrow everyone! This is what my last few days have looked like. Started a new Christmas tradition tonight with my sisters - passing time waiting for the Thai takeaway to be ready by having a nosy at all the Christmas displays in the shop windows and judging the shopkeepers if they were rubbish. These were our favourites though:

christmas crossing cottage

Home! And so excited about it. I worked out I had been in Cambridge for 12 weeks this time which is 4 weeks more than my body can put up with. It hates me. The puss in boots is Kevin, who's quite comfortably adopted my Mother's house.

buy social

If you know me well you'll know I give a lot of my time at uni and in the holidays to supporting the Social Enterprise sector. I'm a big fan of SEUK's Buy Social Campaign (see sticker at top of the page at the moment) and they've recently sent out a brilliant email with suggestions for 'buying social' this Christmas. I thought I'd stick 'em on here too as I don't think many of you would have signed up to the SEUK mailing list ha.

So - buy your Christmas presents from a Social Enterprise this year:
▲ Pants from Who Made Your Pants?
▲ Chutneys from Rubies in the Rubble
▲ Bags & Accessories from Elvis & Kresse
▲ Baby clothes from From Babies With Love
▲ Gym membership with Better
▲ Handmade bags from Elephant Branded

sparkly cat shoes

If I had 500 squid to spare right now these would be mine. Sparkly cat shoes. I can't wait to win the lottery.
