the wedding

I haven't had a thing to do with this blog since before I graduated. Since then I have obtained a degree (how I did this I still don't understand), volunteered in Mexico, celebrated my eldest cousin's wedding and settled into a job. As I thought, work sucks. But I've forced myself to sit and go through my photos tonight.

The wedding shots. Originally I was going to make them black in white, as weddings seem to be black and white in my head. But the light in the Church was so lovely I didn't want to lose that honey glow the stained glass windows were giving. These are mainly from the rehearsal but it was half the fun.

These two are tying the knot next summer. My cousin on the left and my soon-to-be cousin and one of my best friends on the left. Isn't she lovely.

I'm absolutely captivated by these GoPro films on youtube. Watch in HD it's worth it. The Whale Fantasia one is also absolutely stunning.

Two days til graduation. Scream.

I was a summer-born baby so the solstice is always my lucky day. This year did not disprove. Among a whole host of other things (including buying matching dresses for graduation with Riri, I swear we're 8-year-olds trapped in 22-year-old bodies) I clinched my 2:1 for my 2nd degree today. YESMEGS. Feeling giddy for leaving this place now. It's been long enough.

Also I've been a jennamarbs fan for a few years now (she is hilarious, you can't persuade me otherwise), and I loved her last video. It convinced me I'm not just wandering aimlessly through the end of a dodgy arts degree for no reason. My cousin(-to-be) Ker also shared some thoughts recently which resonated me in a similar way. Worth the reads/watches. Ciao.

So much to update on but I won't do it chronologically. I'll start with today; a spontaneous trip to Lord's cricket ground to see the Varsity match with Charlie. I have never in my life watched cricket before. And I'm a fan. Scorching sunshine; looking up from my book occasionally; gorgeous pavilion seats; gloriously dressed old men; a buzz of well-to-do chat; I don't see nothing wrong. I've only just discovered Lorelai at May Balls recently - enjoying them tonight going through my photos on my bed by candlelight. I'm so indulgent these days. Mexico - 15 days. NOT READY.

fog - a phone dump

beautiful mini latte at urban shed (cafe where the sandwiches are so good, you leave your body, go to heaven, and look down on yourself eating them) and kevincat from a trip home last weekend.

after a familiar stomp around an over-visited club the other night i was welcomed by this fog on my walk home. it was beautiful. and in my stupor i decided to walk right through it and pretend i was in a dramatic dry-ice movie scene, only to be met head on by a midsummer common cow. i fled the scene.

So we get to babysit a mini camcorder courtesy of the business school to film our final project presentation tomorrow. Testing it out I managed to catch a lovely minute and a half of Rian (my brand new friend this year, off of management course).
